Across Vietnam’s remote coastal regions, costly diesel generators are commonly used to provide access to electricity.

IWES has created INWave, a land-based Wave Energy Converter ideal for coastlines and islands. It benefits fishing and farming communities along the coast, providing coastal communities with increased energy security at a lower cost. Compared to most wave projects, IWES’ power generation unit is located on the shoreline, not at sea. This design enables system stability and significant cost reductions and makes clean energy infrastructure investment more affordable.

The project involves constructing a pilot plant in Vietnam as ocean energy has vast potential for Vietnam and the Asia-Pacific Ocean region.
