Orxa Grid

In sub-Saharan Africa, 600 million still lack access to electricity, costing £29 billion annually, the region faces a 23% energy loss in utilities. OrxaGrid, SCOPE, and Kilembe Investments are collaborating on the Grid Analytics Platform (GAP) aiming to to address this challenge by replacing manual estimations with an IoT system predicting and alerting utilities about losses and outages. OrxaGrid provides network visibility, SCOPE designs IoT devices, and KIL implements the system in Uganda. The project targets enhanced reliability, affordability, and sustainability in electricity distribution, offering a cost-effective solution and quicker consumer onboarding for electricity connections.
