Power Migration Partners
Using Energy Storage to Help Climate Change Victims and to Stop Modern Slavery
Stage: Round 4
Power Migration Partners Ltd (PMP), a British tech startup, introduces the graphite-sulphur Single-Liquid (SLIQ) flow battery—a cost-effective, durable, and scalable energy solution. Collaborating with the South Asian charity KERA, based in Sri Lanka, PMP forms a consortium to develop a multipurpose Emergency Energy Supply Unit (EESU) for disaster relief. When not deployed for emergencies, the system transforms into an energy storage unit for a Solar PV-powered computer training lab, uplifting vulnerable plantation workers, particularly women and children. This one-year project has the potential to save lives in developing countries while creating a £2.6 billion market opportunity for British businesses by 2020, employing a strategic business model.
