To maximise renewable energy, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are crucial. They bolster electrical grids and bring energy to off-grid locations.
While most BESS use lithium-ion or lead-acid batteries, Faradion’s Sodium-Ion Battery offers a more affordable and sustainable option. With a decade of tech development and low-voltage packs for residential applications, this Energy Catalyst supported project aims to create a high-voltage BESS for large-scale production, meeting South Asia’s growing demand.

The goal is to establish local supply chains, ensuring materials and components cater to South Asia’s rapidly expanding energy storage market.
