Nanoé, a French-Malagasy social business, aims to enhance energy access and employment in rural Africa through its innovative Lateral Electrification model. In the PowerPath project, Nanoé collaborates with Technovative Solutions Limited, the University of Lancaster, TWI Limited, and The Power Hub Limited to develop a groundbreaking technological concept. This concept clusters smaller power infrastructures, ranging from solar nanogrids to DC microgrids, to deliver intensified energy services in a stable and abundant manner through solar power. The PowerPath business model not only addresses technological challenges but also focuses on training community members, without gender discrimination, to become technically skilled agents, aligning with sustainable development goals SDG-7, SDG-8, and SDG-13.
