42 Technology is exploring an innovative metering technology to separate demand from various electrical appliances at a single metering point. This could potentially help households save up to 6% on electricity bills and reduce CO2 emissions with minimal additional equipment. The project aims to demonstrate the technology’s ability to gather rich data and distinguish between simultaneously used appliances, possibly leading to the creation of new IPs around the energy usage of different appliances.
