Swanbarton

GRIPS (Grid Resiliency through Intelligent Photovoltaic & Storage)

Stage: Round 8

Swanbarton, in collaboration with four organisations, spearheads a project to enhance clean, reliable energy access in Nepal. Focused on improving electricity supply reliability and increasing renewable generation penetration, the initiative aims to reduce pollution and foster economic growth. Gham Power plans to install an integrated solar PV and dual chemistry battery system in Kathmandu for testing power control and monitoring. Swanbarton, HiT Power, and Scene Connect bring innovative battery control, grid-forming conversion, and distribution network monitoring technology to the project. Practical Action Consulting evaluates the solar PV and energy storage market, conducts a gender audit, devises a social inclusion action plan, and examines clean energy’s impact on workforce recruitment.
