SCORRES Smart Control of Rural Renewable Energy & Storage

Stage: Round 4

India plans a significant boost in solar energy investment, aiming for a twentyfold increase in the next five years. The SCORRES project focuses on creating replicable, commercially viable smart energy systems for rural and agricultural communities. These systems, incorporating distributed renewable sources, energy storage, control software, and demand management, cater to various stakeholders. The technology, developed and adapted for the Indian market by UK partners, aims to widen electricity access, combat poverty, and enhance lives and health. The project will conduct feasibility trials in a rural village and a vegetable farm, managed by Indian partners, to assess the effectiveness of these smart energy solutions.
