Efficient & Affordable Medium-Size Concentrated Solar Power Device for Low Cost Clean Cooking
Stage: Round 7
Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) offers substantial heat for cooking, laundry, and crop drying in remote areas. Yet, it needs improved energy efficiency compared to other renewables. The project aims to create an efficient, affordable CSP device for smoke-free cooking in India, benefiting mid-day meals, small cafeterias, and women entrepreneurs. The objectives are to construct an energy-efficient, low-cost CSP-based cooking device for mid-day meals, conducting a feasibility study. It will engage with schools, women workers, cooks, and entrepreneurs in India to enhance renewable energy access for women and underprivileged populations.
