VIDEO – Refgas: Generating power through waste biomass

In Malawi over 88% of the population are not connected to the national grid. Refgas with support from Energy Catalyst is developing a modular and mobile biomass gasification and gas compression system. The system will enable a low cost, on-site closed-loop process, that generates heat & electricity from a sustainable waste biomass feedstock and a pure syngas that can be compressed and bottled to supply affordable bottled gas for household applications (mainly cookstoves).
