This project aims to prove the technical feasibility of a potentially disruptive technology that can reduce the Levelised Cost of Energy (LCOE) for the widely-available silicon-based photovoltaic (PV) modules by >20%. Navatec has developed a solution-based nanostructured hybrid tandem technology that is printed on top of a silicon solar cell and boosts the module efficiency by >3% (absolute value), producing more electricity from the same unit area.
