Energy Catalyst is pleased to be supporting the Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) Global Forum 2025.

Representatives from Energy Catalyst, along with 5 innovators who have been supported through Energy Catalyst will be attending this year’s Forum on 12-13 March in Bridgetown, Barbados – co-hosted by Sustainable Energy for All and the Government of Barbados.

Energy Catalyst delegates will join wider sector experts and organisations, government and business leaders, to build partnerships, raise ambition and catalyse action around efforts to achieve SDG7 and SDG13.

An Energy Catalyst booth will provide an opportunity for attendees to network with the Energy Catalyst delegates and hear first-hand how Energy Catalyst is accelerating the innovation needed to realise a just and inclusive clean energy transition across Africa, Asia and Indo-Pacific communities.

The Sankalp Africa Summit 2025, presented by Intellecap, will be held on February 26 and 27 at the Edge Convention Centre in Nairobi, Kenya. This event, part of the Sankalp Forum, aims to drive collaborative action through entrepreneurship, addressing Africa’s most pressing challenges such as climate change, inclusive economies, and food security.

Over two days, more than 1,000 delegates will have the opportunity to learn and network in a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem consisting of visionary leaders, passionate innovators, and forward-thinking investors. Energy Catalyst portfolio companies and representatives will be attending to offer insights, explore opportunities, and form new partnerships.

The Sankalp Bharat Summit 2024, presented by the Aavishkaar Foundation, will be held on 26 and 27 November in Varanasi, India. This event, part of the Sankalp Forum by Intellecap, aims to influence global inclusive development through its work with entrepreneurs, impact investors, and inclusive businesses in the clean energy sector.

Mini-grids have a vital role to play in furthering climate action while strengthening the resilience and adaptive capacity of off-grid communities. Join Energy Catalyst, Innovate UK’s acceleration programme for clean energy innovation, for a webinar on Thursday 18^th April at 13.00 BST diving into the trends and challenges mini-grid developers face when seeking to reach these communities and achieve SDG7. The webinar will launch a brand new report “Tackling challenges in mini-grid development: an innovation showcase” authored by Mercy-Corps-Energy 4 Impact.

The 11^th edition of the Sankalp Africa Summit taking place 28-29 February 2024 in Nairobi Kenya, is Africa’s largest convening on impact entrepreneurship and sustainable development. The two-day event will catalyse collaborations across the entrepreneurial ecosystem to solve global challenges sustainably. Entrepreneurs are reshaping Africa’s economic opportunities to improve the lives of millions. Energy Catalyst portfolio companies and representatives will be in attendance to build relationships, discover opportunities, explore sustainable development strategies, and forge exciting alliances with new partners.

On 29 February & 1 March 2024, FMO and Solarplaza will host the ‘Future of Energy’ summit in Amsterdam, uniting a global mix of top project developers, financial institutions and investors, service providers, and asset owners to tackle the strategic challenges of accelerating the renewable energy transition in emerging markets. The global energy and climate future hinges on emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs) to successfully transition to clean energy systems. Energy Catalyst portfolio companies will be attending to take advantage of networking opportunities, interactive panel discussions, and world-class keynotes, learning, network-building, and more.

Energy Access Investment Forum (EAIF) hosted by the Alliance for Rural Electrification, taking place 21-23 May 2024, in Lagos, Nigeria, is an annual investment event for the renewable electrification sector. The event aims to foster business and investor partnerships for sustainable electricity access, decarbonisation, economic growth and fighting against climate change. Energy Catalyst portfolio companies will be among 1,000 in-person and virtual delegates, including private and public investors, industry and invited government officials.

The 2024 Sustainable Energy for All Global Forum will be held in Bridgetown, Barbados from 3-4 September, co-hosted by Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) and the Government of Barbados, led by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley. The 2024 event will give particular focus to the imperative for a just and equitable energy transition that delivers climate progress while forging development opportunities for low- and middle-income countries by improving energy access.

The International Vienna Energy and Climate Forum taking place 2-3 November 2023 in Vienna, will gather senior decision-makers, international experts and other stakeholders. Guided by the motto “Progress by Innovation”, the Energy and Climate Forum will delve into key priorities, showcase solutions implemented by Governments, the private sector, academia and various stakeholders from around the world and highlight the action-oriented steps required to achieve Sustainable Development Goals. Discussions will focus on means to scale up solutions and address challenges, particularly in Africa.

The 15^th Sankalp Global Summit taking place 19 October 2023 in Mumbai will be the largest climate finance convening centred around the theme of The Great Transition: Financing Climate Action for the Global South. Sankalp will focus on 5 High Impact Areas that will accelerate transformative solutions towards climate mitigation and adaptation: Circular Economy, Clean Energy, Natural Resource Management, Resilient Community, Climate Smart Agriculture, Decarbonisation to Net Zero.

Renewable Energy Forum Africa (REFA) taking place 4-6 October in Nairobi is a new annual conference organised by AFSIA and SolarPower Europe to promote investment in renewables on the African continent. Building on the success of prior events, this new edition will gather renewable energy stakeholders of the African continent bringing under one roof institutional and private investors, project developers, policy makers, energy utilities, regulators, corporates and the most influential energy sector decision-makers.

The 17th edition of the Microgrid Global Innovation Forum, 26-27 September 2023 in London, focuses on microgrid advances, case studies and deployments in remote, rural and off-grid environments, as well as in grid-tied scenarios. Organized by the Smart Grid Observer, the event brings together developers, project owners, non-governmental organizations, finance professionals and technology innovators interested in maximizing the effective use of hybrid renewable energy systems.

Nigeria Energy taking place 19-21 September 2023 in Lagos, continues its legacy of 10 years as West Africa’s leading energy event. The event will bring together key stakeholders and governments with visionary professionals to meet and develop reliable power solutions for the country’s peak energy demand and pave the way for decentralisation. Attendees can expect to hear from key stakeholders from Nigeria’s energy sector, from government ministries and regulators to gas companies supplying fuel to grid-connected plants to independent power producers, distribution companies, and the bodies mandated to facilitate the development of renewable energy and off-grid solutions.

The inaugural Sankalp West Africa 2023 Summit is taking place 12-13 June 2023 in Accra, Ghana. Bringing together diverse stakeholders from across the West African region to drive sustainable development through business, this unique entrepreneur-centric platform will provide connections, opportunities for learning, and platforms for exchange across West Africa and the rest of the world. By exploring common challenges and unique opportunities across both anglophone and francophone experiences, the Sankalp West Africa Summit seeks to stitch together the region’s diverse experiences and create value for the West African ecosystem, #thepowerofpartnerships.

The 5^th edition of Unlocking Solar Capital (USC) Africa takes place in Kampala, Uganda, 31 May – 1 June 2023. Solarplaza and GOGLA with support from the Uganda Ministry of Energy and Mineral Department have put together a strong lineup to foster collaboration between the investment space – DFIs, impact and climate-aligned investors, venture & commercial capital – and the project development segment – IPPs, project developers, service & product providers. This crucial solar industry platform covers all the industry segments and their synergies – from off-grid, to mini-grid, to utility-scale solar – and highlights new innovations in technology and business models.

The Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) Energy Access Investment Forum (EAIF) 2023 is taking place 21-23 March 2023 in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. EAIF 2023 is organised by ARE, co-hosted by the African Development Bank and the Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa. EAIF is the top annual business and finance event for the decentralised renewable energy (DRE) sector, enabling and fostering business and investor partnerships for the purpose of renewable electrification energy access, economic growth, decarbonisation and fighting against climate change. The event aims to bring together up to 350 private and public financiers, energy and climate investors, development finance institutions, international funding partners, government officials and private sector companies.

The 10th Sankalp Africa Summit is taking place 1-2 March 2023 in Nairobi, Kenya. Africa’s largest convening focused on impact, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development will focus on catalysing collaborations across the entrepreneurial ecosystem to sustainably solve global challenges. Looking back on the past decade Sankalp Africa will celebrate the milestones achieved in the ecosystem while looking ahead to the next decade of impact.
